On Simple Diet, going to give blogging a try

Hello all,

Well I have now been on the simple diet for 3 1/2 weeks. At first I was very impressed as I lost 3 lbs. the first week then it slowed down to where I was very concerned if this was the correct way for me to go. I have lost 7 in the time I have been on it but thought as most do it should have been more.
I went back and read the book and came to the conclusion that maybe I was not getting in enough calories. I was eating and drinking the shakes and staying on the lower end of 1100 to 1250 calories. So the past couple days I decided to change it up and have another shake or ate more fruits and vegetables. It has not been easy as I seem to eat even if I am not hungry. I am putting something in my mouth every 3 hours or so. I have never eaten so much it seems but it appears to be helping. I went down 1 1/2 lbs in the 3 days. I think I just needed a new jump start .
I love the simplicity of this diet. The way to vary all the shakes and the amount of frozen entrees it seems is numerous. I have always loved fruit so that was no problem and I ate certain vegetables but I am now adding new ones each week. Just wish I could get my husband to try some of them lol. He is so stubborn at trying new foods.
I want to thank all of you for your blogs and threads on the team page as that is what keeps me going. We can all do this one day at a time I say. Let's continue to keep up the great job.

    Well done. Sometimes shaking things up a little will help. I also find that going back to the book will also help. Dr A has so much information in there that just one read through is not enough. Rather go back and see what you may have missed or if he has a example of what to do to improve your progress.

    Thanks for sharing. Although I've only been doing the diet for a few weeks, I find that writing my blog everyday keeps "honest". Plus you get to be honest with your concerns, worries and successes.

    Like you, I'm eating an extra entree. Good luck on your next weigh in.
