Yes, I weigh myself every day...no, I'm not crazy...

I use a website, it's www.physicsdiet.com and it lets me weigh every day without losing my mind from watching my weight fluctuate. I weigh every morning and log it on SP and on PD. PD takes the weight and uses a weighted average to calculate my "current weight". Here's the chart from their website of all my weigh-ins since I started on January 4th:

Each > represents my weight for a given day. The straight line is my trend line. Right now, my trend shows a weekly weight loss of 3.51 pounds. As long as the little > stay in the green, my weight is moving down. The averaging smooths out the daily weight fluctuations as far as helping me keep motivated. Remember my trend takes into account my beginning weight loss so it's rather higher than the results I'm getting currently. You can see there toward the right of the graph where the blue line is above the trend. It means my weight loss is slowing down. That's ok by me since I'd rather take it off more slowly and get a lifelong change going.

    Way to go with the weight loss! The site is definetately interesting and I was thinking about it last night after our chat, I suppose weighing in everyday can help to keep you on track more becuase you don't want to see the weight flux up, however I'm still not sure I could do that lol. And I didn't mean you were crazy lol! I meant it would drive me crazy becuase I'm very anal about gaining weight. Generally no matter what I do I gain weight 2 weeks out of a month but loose more then I gained the next two weeks. I think I may have mom's thyroid issue although its not showing on the tests. The doctor said it won't always show up. I will check the site out this weekend though, it sounds interesting! Keep up the good work emoticon

    You go girl! I'm a daily weigher too. :)

    I only "count" it when the scale shows that I have lost weight. As long as I stick to my healthy eating and exercise plan, I am losing weight. If the scale doesn't agree with that, then it is merely sharing an interesting opinion.

    I don't think weighing yourself everyday is a bad thing..unless youfreak out over a few pounds fluctuation. Butyou seem pretty level headed! Keep up the hard work! You rock!
