Goals for the month and the outcomes:
Be nicer to myself--I'm getting MUCH better at this. I've barely browbeaten myself all month, and it was a concious struggle...but it's getting easier with practice. :)
Run!--I did okay with this one. I missed a few runs while dealing with the sick 4 year old, but it was unavoidable...the kids have to come first. I picked up HIIT again this week, so I managed to get in some decent running time with it!
Scale obsession--gone. But I'm fairly sure it's only because I'm losing again (carb cycling...goldmine!!)
Overall, this has been one heck of a month. I've learned a ton of stuff, good and bad. I can honestly say that my committment to a healthy lifestyle is the only thing holding me together right now...and it's just a wonderful thing. My personal life is in a shambles due to the events of the last week that I'm just not ready to talk about publicly yet...but my fitness levels are steadily improving and I'm losing again, so I've at least got something to hold on to. The carb cycling has been a complete godsend...I feel AMAZING (energy levels are through the roof!), I'm building muscle again, and my body is quickly manifesting positive changes. I'm trying to hold off on the weighing until next Saturday because TOM is in town, and I won't get a true reading right now anyway...but when I do weigh next, it's going to be a loss!! (Finally!! The two month plateau, mid Jan. loss, then plateau again since then has SUCKED!!) So fitness-wise, February has been a pretty awesome month for me!!
