Open to Blogging?

I love reading blogs. I love reading just about anything. And, I even enjoy writing. So why have I been so reluctant to blog myself? And why am I willing to actually start blogging today?
To answer my first question -- Well, I'm guessing there are a lot of people like myself, who prefer being anonymous and not the center of attention. Blogging can be a stretch -- putting myself out there, making my life and thoughts/dreams/ideas/wishes/f
struggles/victories be revealed in a public setting.
Growing up, I wrote in a journal A LOT. But back then, journals were meant to be private, hidden, under lock and key. Granted, blogs don't mean the writer has to share every personal, intimate detail (although some people do!). Still, since that's the perspective I grew up with, it certainly has influenced how I feel about just opening up in public and letting others know what I think.
Perhaps one of the greatest hindrances to getting started with blogging probably also comes from my worries that I won't be able to keep it up. What if I only post 3x or even only this 1x. Guess today, for what reason I have no idea, I've just decided that if this is the only blog I ever write or the 1st of 1000s -- so be it!
As with dieting . . .so with writing . . . the journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step!
