Name the cat contest

Friday, February 24, 2012

In theory Alton gets to name the gray cat. Our agreement is I can attempt to corral any stray that shows up in our yard, but I can't import any cats. So in the past few weeks we have acquired 2 new kitties. Usually I go along with the names he chooses as long as the cat gets to stay. He named the calico Kaleidoscope, and thinks we should call the gray boy cat Rudolph Valentino, since we took him in around Valentine's day. The cat is steel gray with a white shirt front and white feet. (I will try to post a picture) I was trynig to think of things that looked gray like, well, Silver, Steel, Pewter-can't use that one, it's the name of a cat in the Rita-Mae Brown mystery books. Finally I thought of Duct Tape. I think it's cute and the color scheme matches. Vote for your choice, or suggest a new one. Winner gets the cat. (just kidding)

So what if Pewter is the name of another cat in a book. Why can't you use it?-I like it!
Duct tape on the other hand is original I'll give you that but he'll end up being called ducky trust me!
Here's an idea how about Metalic? Or Tinfoil or Aluminum?
What I do with my cats as I've "acquired" them is to watch them for a few days and see what traits they have.
And your grey is almost identical to my Kentucky Whiskas! He is grey with the white front and white boots on his rear feet. He has white tips on all four toes of both front feet and you'd think his whiskers would be grey but they aren't they are as white as the driven snow!

You could name him Ashley (both boy and girl's name) as "Ash" is gray.
