Back To Old Habits

Friday, February 24, 2012

My frustration has finally reached its limit. I am going back to what allowed me to lose weight three years ago. I have regained 20 of the 30 pounds that I had lost.

I will log ALL of my food and do strength training twice a week. I have the added advantage that I am now a runner, which I wasn't three years ago. Logging my food is my goal for Lent, I have to do the ST to keep my hip strong after an injury and I love running so that one is easy for me.

I eat out of boredom and have found that forcing myself to write everything down as I eat it keeps me from the mindless snacking. I guess laziness trumps boredom for me. :)

Wish me luck.

It`s great to know that you are putting a new plan into action. We all have our food demons. Like you, I eat just because! Three years ago you likely did not have the knowledge you have today & because of that you are seeing where you went wrong & what needs to be done to get back into the game. Before long, you will see those 20 gained pounds gone because you are knowledgeable & you are taking back control.

    Keep up the great work.
