I am excited to go on vacation with my family tomorrow, but also worried. I have worked so hard the last couple of weeks to stick with my exercise routine! I know when I get back it is going to be harder to do. Back at square one! Ten days is a long time.
So, as to not put a damper on my fun, I decided to set some goals ahead of time. First of all I need to make sure I don't overeat. Especially while riding in the car for twelve hours surrounded by chips and sweets. I made sure to add cheese sticks, nuts, jerky, and fruit to our growing pile of snacks. Way to go, me!
Next, I'm wearing my good walking shoes the whole time. They are not pretty or fashionable, but I know they will save my knee and ankle, and I will be able to walk faster in them. I'm planning on walking a lot!
Next, I memorized my yoga work out, and so I plan on doing a quicker version of it each morning when I wake up. I will not let the stares of my family intimidate me! I'm sure after the first couple of days they won't even pay attention.
Last, I am going to try and get to the hotel gym at least two mornings. I think if I can run a couple of times while gone, my muscles won't resist it as much when I get home. Hmm... maybe three times. We will see!
So, goals are set! My conscious is cleared! I'm going to go have a fun, yet healthy vacation!!
