Bored and bloated at work. Oops.

Thursday, February 23, 2012

Well, today was the first "setback" in my efforts that I have had in weeks. Well, maybe I shouldn't call it a setback. The owner of the company made a beef brisket and brought it in for a big work picnic lunch. The brisket was deliccccious. I didn't have that much, I guess I have Phentermine to thank for that. But I had a little bit of everything: the brisket on a white bread roll, and some baked beans. Man, it was good.

However, I have learned a lesson here today. That stuff is loaded with sodium. I edited my tracker to reflect what I ate. My sodium content was near double of what it normally is! ::hack::: no wonder I'm sitting here chugging water feeling like a moose (sorry to all the moose out there, I don't mean it in a bad way). Seriously, though, my pants are all tight and my tongue is all dry, and just, ew. I feel gross.

I really don't need to go to the gym today, but I think I just might anyway. One of my neighbors asked about going with me the next time I go, so I think I'll take her. I'm so grateful for the gym in my apartment complex. I'm even making new friends because of it. I think a good run will do me good.

Until later....

You are very right about that! Old me would have chowed down two of those sandwiches without wincing!

We all deserve a small splurge here and there.

The good thing is you thought about it, realized its effects, and are working with it.

I bet the old you would have just went back for more and never gave it a thought. (At least that is how I was)
