I meant to post this Monday, and then again yesterday, and have pictures up and everything. But life got in the way. I'm pleased that blogging is what fell by the wayside and not my walks or eating right.
Monday was Family Day. It was a lovely sunny day off and I enjoyed the heck out the day. I lay abed and read for a while, I spent time playing silly Facebook games, and cuddling the cats. It was a very lazy day.
However, I also went for a long walk in the park behind the house. Now, in this park a great tall hill, quite steep, that in my youth was known as "Mount Trashmore" (the park used to be a garbage dump). I had climbed it a few times as a teen, but hadn't gone near it in years. I'm afraid to say how many.
On Monday, I climbed up that sucker. I walked past it, looked up at it, and said "I wanna climb that hill". So I did. The path straight up was a little slippery and muddy, so halfway up I 'cheated' and took a bit of a sideways path to the top that curved up and around the hill instead of just straight up, but I did it. I got to the top.
Considering at the start of the month I wasn't going up any hills at all, I felt quite good. And as soon as things dry up a bit, I'm going straight up.
