The blank page

Nothing is so intimidating to a writer as a blank page. It doesn't matter if it's the first page of a new book, a short story, or just the next chapter of your book. It sits there taunting you.
Daring you to put words to it.
The wrong words.
That's the problem.
The first words on the page always seem to be the wrong words. They're too vague. To weasly. They have no bite. No life.
I hate blank pages.
Luckily, when I'm around, they never stay blank for long.
