Birthday party fun but low key:)

It was my darling daughter's birthday on Saturday; she turned 7! CRAZY!!! We have been doing a hotel weekend with swimming and the whole family, grandparents, cousins, aunt and uncles, the works; but this time it was just our family plus one grandma. My sister & hubby and my dad were at a convention and my brothers were all busy with their own things, so it was just us. It was VERY nice!! We went to SF, took birthday pictures, had lunch, went to see Journey 2 (my DD choice), and then headed to the hotel for some swimming. The kids swam for a while, then we had pizza and opened gifts, and just stayed in the room for the rest of the night. I asked the kids if they wanted to swim more, but they were content playing on the IPads and watching TV. It was actually a very relaxing evening, not having all the people around and the extra fun craziness that goes with it. emoticon We did get up and do an 1 1/2 of swimming the next day before we checked out. We ran a few more errands and then headed home.
Today is a no school day and I was able to get in a 6 miles run and ST for arms and now I'm finishing up some Sparking so I can get to grading computer projects. It's been a busy but relaxing weekend and I hate to see it end, but that's life.
I hope you are all enjoying your President's Day and have a wonderful week!! emoticon

Sounds like some great family time! I am also dreading going back to work tomorrow after an unexpected long weekend off...can't believe I am not in bed yet actually!!

Way to prioritize your workout! I am curious do you do your ST before or after your run?
I am trying to figure out how I can fit in more ST on my own outside of my 1 personal training session/week and am having a hard time with I am curious how you handle it.

Thanks and have a great week!

and bread for you. LOL! So glad you had
