People are noticing

I have dropped about 10 lbs and toned up a considerable amount since I became serious about my weight-loss goals. After you begin an exercise/diet, they say it takes 4 weeks for you to notice your body changing, 8 weeks for your friends and family and 12 weeks for the rest of the world.
My brother came home from college last weekend and said "You look really skinny." I rolled my eyes thinking he was messing with me, but he said "I am serious!" Like most brothers and sisters we like to poke fun at each other, so for him to say that with sincerity made my confidence soar.
Also, although my fiance has been pretty supportive these past few months, he has never commented on my progress unless I am fishing for a compliment (hey, we all need to hear "job well done" every now and then). He is just not one to notice things like that (i.e. he is a typical dude). So, when he commented that I was looking really good, well, I walked a little taller that day.
It is encouraging when friends and family not only notice, but also comment on my progress when I least expect it!
