I am inked! or "Forever in my skin"

Sunday, February 19, 2012

So, having always been an exhibitionist, many people have wondered at my lack of tattoos. It was always a matter of what did I want, forever and ever, Amen, and would I always want it?

Well, I got my first and I have a few others that I am nw planning. The symbol is the Assassin's Creed logo with the letters NVOL under it for "Nihil verum, omnia licitia" or "Nothing is true, everything is permitted."

What does that mean? It is described as recognition that what we know of civilization is not everything that has happened, just what has been brought forward by a few recordkeeper- nothing is "true". As a result, we are tasked with the updating and continuation of civilization, even if it is not the "standard" that those in power want- everything is permitted. I'm happy to have that with me :) (Next will probably be IDIC- Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations- Star Trek :) )

So, pic the result. It's still healing, but I am a an and happy to have it, forever and ever, Amen.

I got my first tattoo in 1975 at the age of 16. Almost 40 years later I don't regret it. Be careful, they can be addicting. emoticon
