What sugar cravings?? :)

Breakfast...the magical dieting pill!! :) Why? Because the sugar cravings are GONE!!!
My new hard fast rule for living...eat my stinking breakfast. At actual breakfast time, not 2 hours after I wake up. :) I was struggling...really hard...and now I'm not!! It's like being reborn!! Into the Cult of Bacon and Eggs!! :)
My new plan is working for me...I eat NO MORE than 30 minutes after I wake up. It was challenging on the first day, but by yesterday morning (day 3), it was already habit! I actually woke up hungry, and the same thing happened today! This meal is ALWAYS going to have to be a protein and a carb...because it's working! I've even figured out how to work around my lazy gene with it...one scoop of protein in my coffee not only takes care of my protein requirements, but also solves the issue of near empty calories from cream and sugar! I've been having a piece of fruit with it, and today instead had a "treat" of a whole grain english muffin with a little cream cheese on it. Both are working as my carb for this meal!
The rest of this plan was to force myself to stick to eating the other 4-5 small meals of the day 2.5-3 hours apart. Which I've always completely sucked at...but not right now!! Since I'm starting my "furnace" in the morning with the balanced breakfast, I'm actually finding myself experiencing REAL hunger about 2.5 hours later!! WOO!! (I'm one of those "never hungries" before noon). The rest of the day is falling into place after that! I'm making sure to ALWAYS have some kind of protein with every meal...which really seems to be helping too!
I'm accidentally/on purpose eating A LOT of real food right now...no processed crap, except for the whey protein powder which technically counts as processed food, but I'm not "counting" because it's rescuing me from cream and Splenda (the lesser of two evils, right?) I'm thanking couponing for this one right now...I haven't had any truly good deals on "diet" food in the last month, so I don't have any in the house. And I've decided that I don't care how cheaply I can get processed diet food...I'm NOT buying it anymore!! (Who am I kidding...I can't pass up a crazy deal. But I'm going to give it to friends and family instead of living on it myself!) :)
So...moral of this story. EAT YOUR BREAKFAST. It IS the most important meal of the day!! Sugar cravings do not necessarily mean that you are 'weak'!! It is your body telling you that you aren't eating properly...so help your body help you by starting yourself out right and it will stop making you crave sugar!!
