Dance Dance

Sunday, February 12, 2012

Just a quickie today, as I drink my smoothie, just before I hop in the shower. Then it's gathering laundry & heading to the 'rents. Hopefully Mom's dinner plans are reasonably healthy....
Calories burned (target/actual): 2263/2400. Yay!
Calories Consumed (target/actual): 1763/1746. Ooh, close. Hmm.
Calorie Balance 500/654. WOO-HOO!!
Physical Activity: 45 minutes/1:15. Nice, except that according to the toy, none of it was "vigorous." I beg to differ; EA Sports Active 2 was weights, plus running, and a bunch of other stuff. It didn't pick up on as much as I'd have liked.
Steps Taken: 8000/6138. This is flat out wrong. I did Walk It Out on the Wii for an HOUR, and the game counted my steps at about 8500, and measured me at more than 2 miles. Not at all happy that the toy picked up less than half of that. Not happy that I can't seem to edit it, either.
Sleep duration: 8/7:53. This is probably not accurate, either. Apparently, it's counting 15 minutes or so of time I spent watching a movie as sleep.
So... the toy has flaws. That said, still pretty motivated. Even though my arms and shoulders are pretty sore from yesterday (the EA Sports workout I did was targeted for upper body, and I was sore to begin with because I'd been playing Gold's Gym Cardio Workout - which should be called Cardio Boxing - for two days), I did my Just Dance 3 today. It's screwed up my timing, which is why I'm in such a rush; it's going to have to be a quick shower and funky-wavy-weird air-dried hair today.
I had hoped that all this healthy calorie intake, extra sleep and exercise might fill in the dark pits under my eyes that I've had the last couple of years. If anything, they seem worse, today. *sigh* Well, it's early days, yet. Here's hoping.
One thing I'm pleased with myself about is that I was able to behave myself all weekend, both as far as what I ate, and tracking it. The toy kept me honest on that front; hopefully I'm able to keep that up.
I am not a fan of Vega Smoothie Infusion. Just thought I'd mention that. It makes every smoothie I add it to both taste and look... well, green. If it makes sense to say that something tastes green. I mean, this smoothie is full of mango, pineapple, banana and yogurt; there's no reason for it to taste green. I've got to find a better additive.
OK, gotta get the heck out of here; stuff to do, stuff to do. Talk to you later, folks.
