I Choose to Believe

Wednesday, February 08, 2012

Each day we are faced with choices from the moment we wake up until we fall asleep at night. Needless to say, we will make some good choices and some not so good choices. Our lives reflect the sum total of our choices. Like anyone with weight issues I have made poor choice when it comes to food. There isn't any point in belaboring my poor choices. A choice by its very definition means that there are at least two possibilities. I can choose to eat or not eat. I can choose to eat something that will be beneficial for my body or not. Up to now my choices have meant that I have lived my entire life as an overweight person, who feels out of control when it comes to food. I have lived this way so long that now it is hard to believe that I actually have another option. I can choose the life God wants for me or I can continue to live as a slave to my appetite.

My faith teaches me:
1. God is who He says He is.
2. God can do what He says He can do.
3. I am who God says I am.
4. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
5. God's Word is alive and living in me!
