Just Maintaining!

Tuesday, February 07, 2012

I have been on my weight loss journey for exactly 1 month and 3 days and I lost 10 lbs but so far I am just maintaining the same weight give or take a pound or two. I know I have lost inches because my clothes don't fit as tight anymore!

I am happy and not discouraged and I know that this is a process and will take time. So I have set a goal to lose 10 lbs per month and if I lose more than that "the more the merrier"!!! I think I will also do weigh ins every two weeks instead of weekly, but knowing me I will peek out of curiosity

Until the next time!!! (Hopefully I will not still be maintaining)

Congrats on the weight loss so far! 10lbs is awesome. And it's great that you're not letting the scame dictate how happy or proud of yourself you are. The weight will come off when it comes off. As long as you know you're doing the right thing, eating well and exercising, your body will do what it's gotta do. emoticon

Congrats on your loss of 10 pounds! I agree maintaining is much better than gaining. I am a slow looser and I'm happy with whatever the Lord allows me to loose. Good luck and keep sparking!!

A goal of 10 lbs per month is a lot. I hope you can do it, but remember a much small loss some months is still a success!! Good luck with your progress.

10lbs is a lot of weight to have lost in 1 month and 3 days - congrats.

I also encourage you to take pics every now and then because when the scale does not budge sometimes you go back and look at a pic that was taking 2 weeks or a month ago and you'd be suprise of the difference.

No worries. This happens and 10 lbs a month is a huge goal! Not saying you can't do it, but cut yourself some slack b/c sometimes you will only lose 6 lbs or 3 lbs. Keep at it. You have been at it for such a short amount of time and made major progress.
