2/6/12...........did i let down my team?

Monday, February 06, 2012

I just stepped down as a team leader of one of the teams I belong to on this site. It hasn't shown any activity for 4 months and I am not in a place right now where I want to waste my time and effort and energy getting people involved if they aren't going to reciprocate any effort. I will still be part of the team, but I believe since turning 40 late last year, my patience for the uninterested is non-existent. does that make me a bad person? I am not trying to be, but if a group of people can't check in once or twice a month, i am not wasting my energy for challenges and such as a team leader.

Sounds reasonable to me. Why put up go for people if they aren't there to read them. I often can't get back to a room where I've posted something. I feel bad, but I just can't find it. Today I started a blog here and hit a key and it went poof. I spent an hour looking for it and finally gave up. When I closed my browser, there it was sitting on my desktop. Grrrrrr. I had written quitea bit when I lost it and it stressed me out that it had vanished. I was so thrilled when I found it again. Your blogs end up in my email so I can always find them, but many of the pages I see, get lost. Oh well. Have a great day. btw, love this green. emoticon

I understand how you feel. I tried to get an inactive team going as well. I became the team leader, but unfortunately I did not succeed and also stepped down. I doubt you let anyone down seeing as they didn't check in before. Don't feel bad. You tried. You've gotta have something to work with! Props to you for trying!

I completely understand. I became co-leader of a team when the present leader went inactive. It is an uphill battle trying to get people involved again. (((hugs)))
