The GLORIOUS sweet potato!

Wednesday, February 01, 2012

So I have been eating mostly whole foods for the last few days and needed to broaden my veggie horizon so I bought organic sweet potatoes. In case you didn't know: SWEET POTATOES ARE DELICIOUS! Oh my goodness they're so good! With a little cinnamon, it tasted like a sweet pastry! The potato melted in my mouth. I never thought a vegetable with cinnamon could taste like desert, but it does. I have had microwavable sweet potatoes before, but they weren't nearly as good as baked. It took an hour and five minutes to bake, but the sweet smell coming from the oven made it all worth it : )

I don't know if it's my taste buds changing, but this sweet surprise from a natural, whole food lets me know I'm on the right track : )

P.S. While that sweet potatoe is taking so longgggg to bake, you can send your handsome man over and I will entertain him... hey, just an idea emoticon

I KNOW, RIGHT!?!?!?!? I ate one every night for about three months. Yummy. I'm eating baked potatoes now, but will switch back to sweet when they are all gone. I didn't think to put anything on it. I will definitely try cinnamon - it is thermogenic and is supposed to raise your metabolism a little (a very little, I'm sure....but still!)
