I started on my latest transformation about two years ago when my Dr. told me I needed to get my glucose level under control. If it was high again at my next check up he was going to put me on meds. I joined WW and lost about 20 lbs. I started walking and even walked 4-5Ks that summer. Sabotaged myself and gained some back. Steroid asthma meds and new BP med caused an additional increase in weight. Back to where I started.
Jolted back to changing for better health by the need for another breast biopsy. Fortunately, this one was negative. I decided to do something to better my general health. Got back to Sparkpeople a bit more seriously than I had been. Discovering BLC 17 was just the boost I needed. Tracking food and exercise, participating in weekly challenges, support from teammates and team leaders (thanks, Golden Phoenix). I lost weight and gained strength.
Strength to make better choices, strength to exercise when I didn't feel like it, strength to participate the best I can, strength to transform into a healthier me.
