What I Did Right

Monday, January 30, 2012

Wow- I think this is our 4th week to post about what we've done right in the past week!

So #1- I'm starting my week off on a positive note for the 4th week in a row by looking back on the past week and appreciating what I accomplished for my health!

#2 I didn't let a crazier-than-usual schedule mess me up last week. When I had to postpone my long run, I didn't sweat it. I didn't feel like a failure because of it. I simply ran a great run (for me) a day later than normal.

#3 I pushed through a slump last week. Emotionally, I started the week off on a sour note. Physically, the schedule last week was too much. I persevered. I have learned to put my health higher up on my list of priorities. I finished the sour week on a strong note. What a turn around for me compared to the unhealthy me and how I would have let that bad start affect my weekly goals.

#4 I have gotten closer to more than one SparkFriend in the last week. It works for me. I like having these friends on similar journeys out there. We cheer each other on and pick each other up when needed.

#5 I got a few Sparkers to "Pat themselves on the back" last week with my blog. I loved reading it! So again, share with me "What You Did Right".

Keep Sparking and thanks for reading,

Good for you, Roxanne. Somehow I got unsubscribed for your blog but it's been fixed. I need to think about what I did last week. Sometimes I can't remember what I did yesterday. Senioritis has hit me big time today.

    Hey Roxanne:
Giving yourself permission to not be so black and white and saying...I am too tired to run today, will run tomorrow and STICK TO THAT. Is true progress.
    Good for you.
    What I did right:
I navigated a movie theatre and didnt have the popcorn--I could have, it just wasnt worth the calories in my mind.
So.....I snuck my own in. I own up to the fact that I like munching on popcorn whilst at the movies. So there!!

Congratulations on the things you can look back on and take pride in. It's awesome that you were able to turn around from the sour note and that your week ended much better!
