stress eating

Oh brother. I have not had a good eating week. If you view my tracking chart, it won't look as bad as it is. I occasionally get tired of tracking so much food, especially when i am not measuring and just guessing. Let's just sum it up as a 'binge' day. I have stressed over trying to give up diet sodas. My body just doesn't want to but my body, my soul, my spirit does. Then, on top of that, I am stressing over one of my children's poor decisions. This one has a history of poor choices and this time it may seriously affect on of my precious grandchildren. that was enough to make my eat more than I can remember. Please keep me and my family in prayers at this time.

    You are in my thoughts...the stress is creating more stress but you know and understand what's going on so you can take control. First step is to take a moment to remind yourself what/who is important...the answer to that is you...you need to treat yourself well...take care of yourself...it sounds as though there are others who will benefit from a calm and healthy you. Deep breath friend and this is the beginning of another week! emoticon

    Sherry, It sounds like a rough week of stress. I think the hardest thing to do is to watch your child make poor decisions. I am sorry you are going through such a hard time.
    Try to take care of yourself as much as you can during your stress. Eat as healthy as you can and don't be hard on yourself if you are not perfect. Try to get a walk in.
    You are doing well to post and express your feelings.

    Hi Sherry! Two things I have learned that have been helpful to me: 1. Plan your meals ahead of time will help YOU stay within your goals. 2. I have learned that I do not have the power to control what comes at me from outside of me, but I do have the power to control what comes out of me and how I choose to deal with stress, etc. You too have that power!
