Need Encouragement... SparkFriends are there.

Wednesday, January 25, 2012

Sometimes it's encouragement. Sometimes it's just a kick in the butt to get going again. Whatever the case, SP and my SparkFriends have come to my rescue time and time again, and I hope I've done the same for a few friends.
Some of you have read that D2BD-DIVA and I have challenged each other to start our week off on a positive note by posting of the things we did right that past week. We both hope that others will join us for themselves, but also for us. We get a charge out of reading your victories!
Okay, so this week I was not feeling it. I had success over the past week, but I was in a funk! All day Monday I kept growling at myself and reminding myself to think positive and get that weekly post done. I knew I'd feel better, but "Grrrrrrr" was all I could come up with. I made a mental note to myself that if DIVA posted on Monday I'd be sure and post by Tuesday.
Well, you know she posted a great blog on Monday about her successes for the week. I smiled reading it and began my own blog. Now I was still growling at myself, but I had a promise to her and myself to keep.
Once I finished my blog, I made myself spend some time thinking about those accomplishments from last week. No matter how I felt by the weekend, I had worked hard last week and reached some specific (mind-blowing) goals to myself anyway, and isn't that all that really matters. This journey is for me. Yes, others in my life will benefit from it, but I have got to do this 1 thing for myself.
I'm rambling, but the point is this... My spark was fading 2 days ago. A sparkfriend glowed brightly and fed my flame. I went from "just not feeling it" to back on fire all because 1 Sparker took a few minutes to toot her own horn as she'd promised. The funniest part, when I thanked her for recharging me, she said I'd done the same for her LAST week. We're all sooo important to one another's journey.

It's important that we all remember to be here for one another as encouragers, coaches, cheerleaders, leaders, examples, whatever it Keep that Flame Growing!

Spark On!!

That is so true Roxanne, sometimes an encouraging word is all we need to get back on track or out of a funk. I treasure my friends here at SPARKS. They are very supportive and motivating and that makes this journey a little bit more exciting.

I have found that so true time and time again also. I don't know what I would do without my SP friends!

I can sure relate to your post, Roxanne. I had a hard time getting out of bed this morning, but when I thought about you, and TRUEREINVENTED, and LESLISNEWLIFE, and my other SparkFriends--I just knew you were all working out and I'll be danged if I'll fall behind! Whether you were really working out or not is irrelevant; in my mind, you're paragons of strength, accomplishment, and inspiration. I want to belong! So I got up, got my sweats on, and worked out. It keeps the motivation and the journey itself fresh and alive to know we're all working at getting fit, and helping each other do the same.

You and D2BD-DIVA are both SO right!!! We can be BIG helps to each other and it doesn't involve anything but a little time communicating.
You both are doing so well. Keep up the FANTASTIC work!!!

Awww...I'm glad I could help!!! You're right...we are all an important part of each other's journey even if we don't realize the effect that we have!! I know I certainly didn't know when I posted my blog on Monday. The fact that you posted your blog, though, and remained positive in it even though you "weren't feeling it" shows what a tremendous Spark you DO have! Keep that flame going, SparkFriend, and I'll see you next Monday.
