How long can I put off starting over after the Christmas break?

Monday, January 23, 2012

So Christmas has come and gone and although I did gain back some weight, I am lower than I was last year at this time.

I managed to get some exercise at Christmas as my husband and I took our two grown kids and their respective others skiing to Lutsen. I am not a skier. I did make some progress but in the end went full speed through a snow fence and got whiplash and a scrape on my chin. Could have been a whole lot worse.

I am now enjoying massage therapy twice a week, but have used this as an excuse to avoid exercising. Of any kind.

Yesterday with hunny away and on day one of a forecasted two day snowstorm I went out and shoveled the driveway. It was so nice out (-1 C) I decided to go for a walk to the bank after I was done. Part way through I decided to jog for a bit and to my suprise I could go WAY farther than the last time I tried. Way, way farther. Thank you couch to 5k treadmill program.

Today I worked from home - highways closed. And it looks like the driveway needs shoveling again.

Since I have been back from holidays I haven't been that great at logging in every day and have only tracked breakfasts and lunches.

So for this week here is my plan:

Water - drink it.
Log in-do it.
Supper-track it. Yes. Seriously. And weigh your food too. That's what that little scale on the counter is for.
Get my 90 min of exercise a week.

One week. That's all I'm asking so do it!

Sounds like you picked yourself and are back on track! Good for you! emoticon Now just keep step at a time, one day at a time.
