I am starting to become discouraged. I have been working hard at the gym and haven't been going over my calories but I still haven't seen any results for my hard work. I know it takes time but I am ready to have all my hard work pay off.

Thanks for the encouragment. I have been drinking plenty of water I drink about 6 water bottles a day.. Sometimes I think I drink too much water. But overall I have been feeling better. I find that I have more energy and simple things like walking up the stairs doesn't take so much out me anymore. So I know that even though I am not seeing it in numbers I am feeling it in my body.

There are a variety of reasons to not see changes on the scale. You said you are watching your calories, but what kind of calories? Are you getting the nutrients you need? esp protein?

are you timing it to smaller meals 6 times a day as opposed to 3 big ones? This will help your metabolism.

how about water? are you getting 8 - 8 oz a day?

even overdoing the exercise can sabotage weight loss efforts. Your body needs rest as well as exertion.

Even if the numbers are not going down, how are you feeling? There are other measurements of success.

I highly recommend The Spark really helps you to make the lifestyle changes that go beyond numbers on a scale.

I really like the Fast Break steps on the Getting Started on your home page...creating success with small manageable goals that you can build upon.

I know its tough and there have been times I wanted to give up...but don't...the surest route to failure is to give up.
