omg. week 3-day 4. WHAT?!

well it's crazy that I've lasted this long! I hate to say it, but I know myself too well. I start a challenge full of ideas and motivation and then the first bad long day at work happens and I come home dragging and say "forget it. I'll make it up tomorrow on my lunch break and then the new one after work." And then does it happen? nope. So YAY! I'm doing a little thing called "following through" Get to know it, Norma. Love it. Live it.

I've always been pretty good about getting my workouts in, in some way shape or form, but it's been really half-@ssed and never a set program. Sooo I'm pretty happy with myself AND the progress I'm making with pushups/strength. The crazy thing is that I work in an office with me and 2 other people. We plan an event every January for about 400 people and it is suuuuch a stress fest. This year, our receptionist left at the beginning of this month, leaving us to field calls and visitors, our daily duties and meetings, AND plan this thing. I"ve not had my usual lunch break since December. ugh. just trying to grit my teeth and get through it without pulling my hair out or killing someone. I actually think that working out every day is helping me relieve some stress.

Still conquering my sugar issue and I FINALLY feel like I"m getting the upper hand. That's not to say I still haven't had stumbles in the past few days BUT I feel like I'm understanding it.

NOw. That brings me to this. Does anyone else feel like they're getting... bigger? Since I started this challenge I"ve gained an inch to 2 inches EVERYWHERE and all my pants and shirts are tight. I understand about putting on muscle and I know that I do tend to put on muscle easily but gggeeeeeze. NOT the effect I'm going for. Oh well. I'll get through the month and see where I want to go from there.

P.S. My calories are between 1500-2000 a day and that hasn't changed from when I was doing hour long cardio sessions to these 15-30 minute HIIT sessions, so maybe I should tweak something there. I"m only 5'2 so every little added mass looks HUGE on me.

    Congrats on how far you've come and you're still going! It's really hard to stick to a challenge and you're doing it brilliantly!

    Shows how brilliantly you're doing it if you're gaining some real muscle! Maybe see how you're doing at the end of the challenge and skip the Seany style workouts to help with being leaner instead of packed. :)

    Nice work, following through with the challenge! =] I'm sorry you're having issues with work though =[ Hopefully the stress will be over soon?

    1500-2000 calories seems like a lot for only being 5'2''. Maybe try lowering those a bit if you can and see if that helps? I also feel like the newer bodyrock workouts have added a LOT more strength training with all the sean workouts and so that will definitely make a difference as far as muscle mass! Maybe try just doing lisa's more cardio based workouts and skip on seans and see how your muscles react?
