Why?

I want to know why I managed to put on 2lbs, even though I've been good most of the week. It's not fair. :(

    The problem with weight scales is you don't know if it is fat or muscle you have gained. If you know you have been good with diet and exercise, then it's probably muscle you gained. :)

    @SLIMLILA - yes, I normally wouldn't weigh myself each week, but I'm part of this thing at work, where whoever loses the most wins about £40. I could really do with that at the moment.

    BEFIT012 - No, I didn't take my measurements. I might ask my girlfriend to do it later. I'm hoping it's turning to muscle, heh. I don't know about my sodium intake, I shall try and keep an eye on it.

    SEASONS_CHANGE - I'm trying. It's just hard sometimes.

    See there's exactly why I am planing not to weigh in except maybe every 3 weeks or a month...I had gained 3.5 lbs. back in Dec. and it sent me on a binge..

    Yeah, that IS annoying! Fluctuations, most likely. Have you taken your measurements? How was your sodium intake? Could be LOTS of things emoticon !

    I hat when this happens to me too.. Usually when I'm good with what I eat and don't exercise, I gain a little... gotta get in some more fitness minutes and kill those calories.

    The scale fluctuates all the time. For all you know, you could be retaining 3 lbs. That bit of binge eating (mentioned in your blog yesterday) may not have processed through your system fully. It may not be turning into fat and staying, but it does have its own physical weight that the scale reads with your weight.

    Don't panic or stress over it. Keep in the good habits through this week. The important number isn't the change from one week to the next. It's the overall numbers, the average per week since we started and ongoing into the future.
