Hiking with Diabetes

I still have a lot to learn about Diabetes and keeping my blood sugar where it belongs. This weekend I'm going to hike for 3-4 hours up Mt. Monadnock. This will be my first big hike since I learned that I have Diabetes. It will be a little slower, since I'll be taking gloucose readings.
I'm really looking forward to a low reading. I have only eaten one orange since Jan. 3. When my blood sugar goes down, I can have this tasty morsel to bring it up.
