Hi to everyone. It has been so long since I have logged on. The surgery was successfull, the recovery was about 8 months. All is going well now, but I have lost muscle tone and have now got a "saggy tummy fold" as well as weighing 90 kgs again!!...

Sadly my Mother, ( whom I have been caring for since Dad died 10 years ago) had a stroke and became bed ridden and blind. Mum was cared for in a nursing home by lovely, caring staff. She just faded away and went to sleep. Very peacefull. So my life has been coming to terms with the loss and handling Mum's funeral and legal duties. I was very weepy and sad for about 6 months, but I am going nicely now, so back to looking after myself.

Firstly to begin walking (or strolling) to get my body and mind freshened up.
Secondly to begin learn to control the things I eat and to have correct portion control. . I eat the correct caloric intake at each meal, the problem is in the afternoon and at night when I am not sleeping too well. Out comes the chocolate and the chips etc. So that sends the calories to double or more, to what I should be having. I am my own worst enemy to losing weight.

Tomorrow will be the start of meal planning and having low calorie snacks in place of the fatty snacks. Hope I can control myself this time. love from the old vintage model
