Yucky Fish - didn't meet my goal for that!

Thursday, January 19, 2012

Today I decided to have fish so I could have it twice this week. Nope! I cooked it, put it on the plate, tasted it, and then fed it to the dog.
Didn't have Lemon Talapia - yuck!!! Tasted like cardboard.
Will do the fish 2 times this week - tuna fish for lunch tomorrow. Guess Tilapia just isn't my thing.

By the way the dong is fine - emoticon

Funny, DH and I were just discussing tilipia and how mild it tastes. I guess everyone has different tastes. I know salmon is soooo healthy and looks delicious when grilled but I can't stand it! Tuna steaks and great and as for white fish, I find you can't go wrong with haddock or cod.

Kudos to you for trying new things and incorporating more fish into your diet! emoticon

so many fish are getting harder to find in the stores . they are trying to fool the buyer with false labeled fish. so be careful when you shop for fresh fish . always liked halibut and cod . mix it up try differnent things .

I haven't tried tilapia. We catch our own fish -- mostly bass, blue gill & crappie, so we don't buy much fish. I love baking our fish in foil packs with a little low fat margarine, herbs, garlic & onion. It's yummy!

I love blackened seasoning talapia, depending on how you cook it, it is really good. I love grill salmon, but other then that i can't eat it because it's dry. emoticon I love fish.

LOL I'm not crazy about tilapia either. I saw this I think it was the show The Doctors don't really know as I don't watch TV heck ditched the TV's entirely at my house. I caught it at my parents house something about tilapia being more fattening for you than 3 doughnuts. I was like wow,for real.

Tilapia is a very mild fish . . . so you can spice it up any way you like, but for me, if given a choice of that or salmon, salmon wins hands down (or should I say FINS down!)

Keep trying different kinds of fish. Cod is a nice firm white fish that isn't fishy tasting . . . halibut too. And you can fix it a million different ways.

Glad the poochie is alright! LOLOL Bet HE (or she!) enjoyed it!

My DH says talapei has a "taste" to it he doesn't like. Keep trying different emoticon 'cause some taste fabulous (I'm a red snapper fan). If you shop at a fish market, the staff is usually helpful & able to guide you. Good luck!
