Sweet & Sour Chicken

I had a hankering for Chinese food last week so I hit Spark Recipes in hopes I would find a recipe to satisfy my craving...and I did! I found "Angie's Sweet and Sour Chicken". I made it this past weekend and wow, it was g-g-g-r-r-e-a-t! It totally satisfied my craving for Chinese food, in fact, I think it was better taste-wise and calorie-wise than where I usually get my Chinese fare from. I will definitely make it again and it was fairly quick to throw together.

I did beef up the amount of veggies than what the recipe called for though. I added waterchestnuts (which I love!) and chunks of onion. I left out the green bellpeppers, but as you can see in the picture below, it needed some "green" in it, so next time I think I'll add broccoli. Oh, and I saved some calories by not having any white rice with this dish. I didn't miss the rice at all, but then again, I'm not a big rice eater.

I personally think it is very difficult to make food look good in pictures. I didn't spend much time trying to make this photo look appetizing because I had been out shopping all morning and I was starving because it was past by lunch time....and because it smelled SO good, I just wanted to dive right in!

I highly recommend "Angie's Sweet & Sour Chicken" on Spark Recipes.

Is there any way you can copy the address of the recipe in the address bar up top and paste it in here? I'm having trouble finding it, and your picture looks so delicious I want to try it out on the family!
