Making changes - making progress

I weighed in this morning & was pleasantly surprised to see I'm down a couple pounds. I've made a couple changes in my diet in the hope that I'd see some change. So far so good.

I made a soup mix that has split peas & some barley & other good stuff. The calories & fat are low and the fiber & protein is really high. It's really filling. It doesn't taste that great (lol) but I don't even care. I've been doing better with water, fruits & veggies too.

I want to keep this momentum going!! So far, 2012 has been good. Oh, and I hit a lottery ticket for $50. That'll be 5 weeks of Zumba classes!!! Hip Hip Horray!!

    OMGosh, you're gonna love Zumba!! It's so much fun and the best part is that EVERYONE trips over themselves in the beginning. I think that's half the fun. There is a lot of laughter in the room & it's mostly people laughing at themselves. Take a BIG cup of water & maybe a small towel. Dress comfortable (shorts/tank top or t-shirt) & be ready to have fun! You'll have to tell me what you think. It took me a couple visits before anything seemed familiar (moves, music) so even if you feel like a fish out of water, try it a few times before you decide.

    emoticon on winning the $50. A Zumba class is starting this week in the town that I live in, so I'm going to try it. I'm very excited, but also a little worried that i'll be tripping over my feet trying to do the moves LOL!! Awesomeness on the weight loss too!! emoticon
