Good Week Overall

Sunday, January 15, 2012

I started out strong this week but I fell off after Thursday. I had a bit of a busy weekend and I wasn't able to fit in exercise. The good news is that I recognize that the weekend seems to be the hardest time to get to the gym so moving forward into next week I know what I need to focus on.

I spent the evening cooking with my daughter while my son spent some free-time doing math. Jazz made Ackee n saltfish w/green bananas and I tried out a SP recipe for mango salsa (which turned out great and the kids even liked it emoticon.)

Effective manana I WILL be back on my "A" game.

Goals for next week:

1. exercise at least 30 minutes EVERYDAY emoticon
2. 50 crunches emoticon EVERYDAY
3. 50 push ups emoticon EVERYDAY

Love the plan...Go for it gurl! Remember, the body needs time to build muscle. Staying on track and after working hard for 4 days straight be kind to yourself. Continue to drink your water, eat healthy and in moderation, and most of all feel good about what you have done, squeeze in what you can. Taking a day off is NOT a show of weakness or failure and definitely doesn't reflect that you aren't being strong.

Just a suggestion though, if you feel you HAVE to throw something in on those days DANCE! Dance Hard and keep those muscles taunt...it's a great workout, can be done at home, inexpensive, you can pull your children in on the act if you want, it's FUN and no regrets -- You can work up one heck of a sweat dancing. emoticon

Lastly, good food find! I love mango salsa...YUMMY! emoticon
