Week 1 Down-notes/review

I finished my first week of 2012 since getting back from vacation!

The weeks started out okayish but got a lot better.
I am working on my eating and had very little energy MTW. On Wednesday I actually went to bed really early I was so tired. I've started adding oatmeal to the mornings I weight train and I think that is helping with the feeling tired all the time. I'll have to keep trying things to see what ends up working for me. Overally my calories were a bit high, but my food really good for me. I did have some pizza Friday with DH, then some left overs Saturday with a little chocolate. Overall a pretty good eating week.

I am really enjoying my weight training. It is something I made with the help of " The Leanness Lifestyle." Lots of free weights with goals for improving and reducing my body fat. I need to sit down later today and make a program for this week. Most of my exercises worked out well, but I need to modify a few.

The weather here was been really COLD! So I have moved my at home cardio to the basement (elliptical). I thought I would get some jogging in, but the wind and wind chill have been so bad,- especially pre-dawn, that I haven't wanted to go out. BRRR!

Work has started out pretty well, which really helps with the stress. DH starts his new job Monday (yah!). I really hope it is a good fit for him, or at least good enough.

    I know whenever I go from "vacation eating" to restricted eating my energy is always low for about a week. Give yourself some leeway to be a little lazy (or at least miss a workout here and there) until your energy levels return. You got this!

    I keep thinking I should do more weight training, but can't seem to get it in. Thanks for reminding me that it is so important.

    Hope things work out with your DH's new job. Sorry you are feeling so tired. Maybe it is just from vacation and you need to catch up on your rest. Take good care.

    Keep up the weight lifting, but make sure you get some good protein afterwards! Or you will not have much energy! I find weight lifting usually gives me energy and makes me feel good! Sounds like quite a good week! Keep up the good work! emoticon
