1st weigh in of the new year!

I stepped on the scale today and was pleasantly surprised that I have maintained during the chaos of home renos during the holiday season! But i will step on the scale tomorrow to double check bc I am pretty sure my scale is a liar.

    CONGRATULATIONS!!! That's a major feat to have held steady over home renovations and the holidays, a real feather in your cap! A little word of caution about the scale, though, from my own many, many, MANY weight-loss experiences: Don't weigh in more than once a week. I weighed only on the first day of the month while losing, and do the same thing now during maintenance. Even with the best digital scale, there's variance, and for those of us who can feel really crestfallen from a scale's pronouncements, too many such close encounters with the infernal thing can sabotage our efforts. Once a week is plenty, I think.
