Wow - 170 days straight of walking!

Yes, I made it through Christmas and the New Years and got my walking in each day. In fact, I got up early Christmas morning to use the treadmill before my child got up to open presents! My legs are feeling stronger and my back is not as bad. Well, the last two weeks have been more difficult but that's because I feel of the bandwagon with respect to my eating. I was snacking and the holidays didn't help. The last few days, I've been more depressed about how I was feeling and I snacked more -- argh -- that vicious circle.

So after some praying and asking for strength to make good food decisions, I've tracked every bite of food like I used to when I started Sparking (two years ago this week in fact!). I've had low carbs and high protein which is working out well for me and I've not craved as many sweets.

So the added weight I've gained the last two months or so is hurting my back so that's just more of a "nudge" I need to make the good choices for myself. As I told my kid, a few nights ago, I need to take care of myself so that I can take care of my family.

So at least I'm headed in the right direction. While the most I'd lost on SparkPeople was 58 pounds, I've kept off 45 pounds.
