New Year

Thursday, January 12, 2012

Just a short blog. Over the holidays I did pretty good as far a not adding to my weight. Which is doing pretty good when you consider I live in the state that is home to the Badgers and the Packers. But that is another story, LOL. But I have been on a plateau so I joined the January Jumpstart Challenge. I want to get down just 4 pounds by the end of the month. I need to do more, but will be happy with that. I am doing all the challenges, plus a lot more circuit training. What happens? I gained a pound!!! WHAT???? OK, so maybe it is the muscle building. I know that I can feel a lot of them saying, "Hi, I am here." But I am not discouraged yet. My body is weird like that, it will come off, when and only it decides to. But man, am I ever tired. Will let you know at the end of the month what happens.

Don't be discouraged amiga. I lost 35 pounds (2 years ago) and have been struggling just to keep from gaining it back. NEVER give up!

When my weight does that it's usually because I've consumed more salt than normal; even a small bag of potato chips will cause me to retain 1-2 pounds of fluid for a few days. Maybe that's all it is ... that your body needs a few days to flush itself out.

I hear you there! My body doesn't organize fat like I'd prefer. I hope it's "muscle weight".
