Good evening my Sparkfriends;
This morning I officially weighed in after 1 full week on my new journey. I have lost 5.2 pounds.
Sooo excited! So....you ask...what have I done this week?
My diet consisted of mostly clean eating - highlighted in an old Oxygen magazine - used as a guide.....
breakfast: oatmeal, walnuts, cinnamon, and a banana
snack: lunch: chicken breast, brown rice, and steamed yellow squash
snack: celery and almond butter
other snacks added if hungry: orange and boiled egg (not together)
dinner: grilled fish, asparagus, greens with cucumber/tomatoes
late snack if hungry: mixed berries
I pretty much stuck to it all week. One night, we did go out to dinner at a steakhouse but I hung in there like a trooper and ordered my grilled chicken, a small baked sweet potato, and grilled zuchinni with a side salad.
I tracked every meal, I drank all my water, and nothing but water....Yay me!! All my meals pretty much stayed between 1100 to 1500 calories all week.
Also, I did Excercise:
I started my first week of Slim in 6 - One full week of Start It Up every night. Today is my rest day so I did the Slim&Limber stretching DVD. Next week I'm going to move on to Ramp It Up! wish me luck. i'm a little nervous. Funny thing is I've owned this DVD set for years and have never gotten past the first week, let alone the first DVD. But I'm determined to complete the program this time.
I also went out with family and friends on Saturday night and everyone was drinking but I (determined to make this work) drank water all night...was a little bummed but with 5 pound loss it was worth it.
My sweet husband told me he was proud of how I have stuck to my "diet" this time. I hate to call it a diet because I don't want to think of it that way but it was a compliment nevertheless.
Soo...On to week 2 - I've got my meals ready to go for the week....Here we go!!
