This is the first day

If we quit, we can't go on, and we can't begin again. If we face each day with an attitude of gratitude, and forgive our previous blunders, we can have this day to be the first day of the rest of our lives. We can have lots of first days, but let's make them count. Push on so we can get by having more than just the first day. Let's make it a streak. Let's make it work. Let's make it happen. I'm in, how about you? The old comment - winners never quit, and quitters never win. We have to be in the game to win, to succeed, to make it. Even if we have to do it at a snail's pace.

I was thinking of how I haven't managed to make a full 10 minute physical therapy daily stretch, only 6-7 minutes, and it takes its toll on me. Then I remembered Fall 2009, and that is what I began with. If I could do my 6 minutes of daily stretches I was on the way, and I really was. Doing SOMETHING, is way better than doing nothing. Come on, you can do it. I can do it. We CAN do it.

I did it before, I can do it again. I started my streak of water, and food logging again. See, I AM making it happen. And I restarted my vitamins.

    Nice Photo, I love to read to little kids, there is a little balancing act.

    A grandchild on your lap, such nice exercise for the knee.

    As you said you just have to do it, consistency and perseverance are what you need right now and Deborah, you can definitely do it. You need to get a little more strength every day and you can look forward to your garden in the Spring. WooHoo emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Yes, you sure can!! I am struggling with my PT too, but my problem is far less severe than yours. Here is to getting it done!!

    Oh yes, you can!! I started my physio after my disc injury with only 4 minutes, twice a day. You start where you are and you keep moving down the path. Now I do 30 minutes yoga and 30 minutes ST, about 2 1/2 years later. There was lots of building time in between. Plus, I listen to my body each day ~ sometimes it only wants to do 20 minutes of yoga, so that's what I do. Next day might be 40. It's not about exact numbers, it about accomplishing what we can!
