I need to make time for exercise

I work long hours and have a long commute. And it is bitterly cold out. I need to find a way to squeeze in exercise. The kiddos have gymnastics tomorrow night, so I should be to get a workout in while they are all out of the house (Daddy takes them).

    Apparently I forgot he just drops the eldest off at the gym and brings the twins home, no house all to myself tonight. GRR. I can't get up earlier, I need my sleep my twins don't a reliable stretch of time, so it would be pointless anyway. It would be my luck to get up early and one of them would get up right as I got started. And it is very dangerous to all three of us to exercise to when they are under foot.

    I know it sounds like excuses, but they are blockers. I have to sit down with my husband make a schedule where my workout time is carved out and sacrosanct. Assuming the job doesn't throw in a roadblock.

    I think this is an issue for a lot of us...I only get half an hour for lunch so that's out. At least I don't have a long commute any more. So I'm getting up a little earlier in the morning to get my workout in. Granted, I'm not working out for an hour right now, just building my way back to that. At least you have the house to yourself today...that helps!

    QHAMOM-I have a lunch hour, but it is never consistently at the same time and I often don't get all of it since my meetings run over. AND there is no place for me to shower.

    If I count all the trips running up the stairs and back for meetings, that is at least 10 minutes a day, just not all together.

    Today I will have the house to myself, and I can hit the treadmill without 4-year-olds trying to jump onto the treadmill with me. Irony of ironies the bitter cold has broken.

    Do you have an hour lunch? I used to work in an office where I had to take an hour lunch, so I would spend about 45 minutes exercising, then toss my lunch in the microwave, take a quick shower, then eat at my desk just as my break was ending. Now I don't take a lunch break so I finish earlier which really helps.

    I struggle to find time to exercise as well. Starting on January 1st, I am trying to squeeze in at least 10 minutes of exercise. It seems like a feasible amount, right? I even added it to my Other Goals to track.
