Couch to 5k #1.2

Tonight, after a full day of a tired/cranky baby and a healthy dinner with my (also committed to losing weight/getting healthy) husband, I went down to the fitness center in our building and completed Couch to 5k #1.2.

I'm returning to some of the music I lost weight to back in winter of 2008 - namely, the Original Broadway Cast recording of "Legally Blonde: The Musical." I find it upbeat, silly, and weirdly inspiring. That said, there's also plenty of Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Nicki Minaj, and Britney Spears on my playlist as well.

I think when I get down to 180 pounds, I'm going to get some new serious running shoes. The ones I'm wearing are fine, but they're not the highest of quality. Maybe 170 pounds will be a haircut - which I haven't had since I was... 5 months pregnant? Geez.

Tomorrow my dear friend Amanda and I are loading up the baby and heading to a brand new (and awesome) grocery store here in Chicago, where I'm going to get all healthy food to complete the meal plan my husband and I concocted for this week. Who says healthy food has to taste bland, right?

    I'm just starting C25k (for the 2nd time) too! Tomorrow will be 1.3 for me. I hate running on a treadmill, but it's too icy in Northern Indiana for me to even try to run outside this time of year. Best of luck with your training!
