So siked for a new beginning

Sunday, January 01, 2012

I've established some GREAT exercise habits in 2011 & am so siked about keeping it up. My body has changed so much with Zumba even though my weight hasn't changed. I *love* my new jeans & have gotten some really interesting feedback on my butt. LOLOL!!!!

Looking over some articles about resolutions & weight loss, I'm currently doing everything right EXCEPT for food tracking. So it looks like that's where I need to focus some attention.

I gained 2 pounds this week but I'm OK with it. Since it hasn't been around long, it'll be easy to blast it off & give me a huge boost of inspiration.

This is going to be the year I reach my goal weight. I can. I will.

I hope that all of my Spark Friends reach their goals this year and find peace, joy, and love. Happy New Year to all!

I started out taking a Zumba class twice a week in June '11. *To make a long story short*, I bought myself the Zumba Exhilerate DVD set for my birthday in August '11. I use those the other 3 days a week and when schedule, time or weather prevent me from going to class. I hinted about the Wii game but didn't get one for Christmas. My DH said that I have enough Zumba stuff. lol. I am happy with my DVDs & am more likely to hit PLAY on the DVD player than do a video game. (After all, I'm constantly yelling at my kids about video games.)

I've always been a DVD exerciser but to put 30 minutes in my schedule was tough... so I found some 20 & 12 minute videos. They didn't do a thing for me & frankly they were torturous hell to get through. Not because they were hard but because it was boring & felt like work. Zumba, at least for me, is not work at all. It's so much fun. I laugh a lot - mostly at myself & how uncoordinated I am. So I look forward to spending an hour a day doing it. I've come a long way. Thanks Beto!! emoticon

Do you take a Zumba class, Wii, or have a DVD? I have heard great things about Zumba, and although I have a few Zumba DVDs I haven't done my full potential with them. emoticon
