Mother Daughter Healthy Makeover

Friday, December 30, 2011

My daughter wants to go on a healthy eating, calorie conscious, move your butt lifestyle makeover.

I was a little hard pressed to say no. She hates her tummy and has a passion for potato chips, cookies, and icecream. She is also hitting puberty.

As I was sitting on the couch snarfing a plate of oatmeal cookies and chugging eggnog she asked if I would help her. Hard to say no since I have been a craptastic example lately. Shoving everything I can find into my mouth to stave off the "hungry bitchies". Yes, I am a hella bitch when hungry, and breastfeeding means I am hungry ALL THE TIME.

Of course my first response was "You are Perfect!" and my second "I hate exercise". She smiled and said "okay". She sounded so sad! And I didn't want her to end up like me at her age. Holding my legs in bed, crying. Growing pains keeping me awake because I was refusing to eat to lose weight. Fights with my Mom.

So we begin when she gets back tomorrow. EXCITED?

Hell No! I want the Magical Eat Cookies and Lose Weight and Drink Eggnog and Tone Up Plans. But alas I live in reality where I must move my hiney to get the tush I want.

Wish me luck.

Good luck! Hopefully things will be easier for the both of you because you're doing it together.
