The scale

Thursday, December 29, 2011

I don't have a scale in my house.

I won't allow it.

Maybe I tend to be a bit obsessive about weighing myself. I recognize an unhealthy obession when I see one. The scale was tossed years ago.

I only weigh myself, at the most, once a week.

At the rec center.

Today we stopped in quick to let the kids romp in the playroom. I usually only weigh myself in a bathing suit. You know, for consistency. I like to get the lowest number possible. Gimme an amen to that ladies.

Well, on a whim I jumped on fully clothed with full pockets and wearing shoes. I did take off my coat but not my sweatshirt.

The numbers did not make me freak out. If my shoes and clothes weigh about 2lbs then I maintained over vacation and the holidays.

Now I am very curious. So I am taking the kids swimming tomorrow. I need to know what I weigh in bathing suit.

For consistency....

The daily flucuations drove me CRAZY. Hence, no Mr. Evil Liar in my house. Bonus to only weighing myself when I take the kids swimming? Makes me taking them swimming more often than I would otherwise. And I force myself to tread water for 20 minutes in the deep end while they practie jumping off the diving board. heh. Take that Mr. Evil Liar!!!!!!

    Woo hoo! Great news.
I think I gained a couple pounds emoticon

Now I've taken to calling my scale by a new name I found on someone's spark page: Mr. Evil Liar. Can you tell how much I like my scale? There's nothing else to call it when it tells you that you suddenly weigh 1.5 lbs more than the day before and you didn't overeat. emoticon emoticon

    Have a good weigh-in tomorrow!
