My new Ninja blender!

Thursday, December 29, 2011

I work in retail so on Black Friday I am in the store because I have to be (working) not shopping. Well this year I did do some shopping and I got a Ninja blender. I love fresh fruit and sometimes I buy too much so I throw it in the freezer. Well I hate it when you thaw it and it is mushy. My old blender just could not handle big chunks of peaches or mangos to make smoothies. The Ninja does just great. It has two sets of blades, one above the other, so it just zips right through frozen fruit.

I am now experimenting with fruit combinations in my smoothies and loving it. I try to use all frozen fruit so I don't have to add ice to mine. I will throw in some fat free yogurt instead of milk and I save the fruit juice and put that in if I want more liquid. The best thing is that I can get my mom to drink a smoothie faster than getting her to eat the fruit. So it is a win win situation for me. If anyone has a favorite smoothie that you like let me know it and I will give it a try.

Sounds like the Ninja was a good investment. My Magic Bullet is still working great for my smoothies, but it might be time for something new.

    Thanks for sharing!
