Gumbo on Saturday - Santa's Special Gift

I set a goal for myself that next year for my birthday and I would compete in a figure competition. That was in October and since then I started working with FlexChef along with my local trainer. It's been an interesting journey and through FlexChef I know why no matter how hard I was working out (y'all know I don't play) I never saw the type of results I knew I was capable of. This is one reason that I wanted to compete - I wanted to see exactly what my body is capable of and I knew I could not do this on my own.
He's great and does not play - he gave me a plan and told me to follow it religiously. I slipped up a bit because within a weeks time I saw gains that I never saw in the 3 months of returning to a fitness - health conscious mindset. Want to know what I did? It seemed like no big deal but what do I know. I did not eat all of my (6 - yes Six) meals that I have to eat each day. I was full so figure what's the biggie. I did not drink my casian before bed and when I sent my weekly update pics I wore a different outfit. The purpose of wearing the same outfit is so that he can see and pinpoint where I need to focus my workouts. If you wear something different - like a longer top or pants instead of shorts it covers parts of your body and he cants tell what's going on. The 6 meals keeps your anabolic level in a state that allows you to build muscle. If you build muscle your body will burn fat....that's what's happening to me as we speak.
So what's the big deal about the Gumbo - well it's not on my plan and I asked for a free pass for Xmas. In spite of my lapse in judgment he granted my holiday wish and I get to have Gumbo albeit with brown rice - but I'll take it. DH is from the lower ninth so he does not play when it come to the cuisine. I also get to have a glass of wine - I do luv me some wine.
Please don't feel sorry for me because I eat Very Well - I'm not on an egg white and ground turkey diet. In fact I am eating better than I did before I went on the plan and I am eating a lot of food. I eat every 2-3 hours to be exact and since FlexChef is actually a chef the food is easy to prepare and absolutely delicious. He's a Sparker if you want to check him out.
Well I'm logging off now but will be posting pics at the beginning of the year. The Abs are becoming more defined - my arms and shoulders are looking pretty good. My thighs aren't doing as well as the rest of my body so guess I need to turn it on the squats, dips, and lunges
