Well - today is Day 2. I had been overeating so much before I started Sparkpeople that I lost 1.5 pounds in the first day. I know it will slow down - but it just tells you how off the rails I have been....
I am following the "plate method" of eating that is in the spark book...
I emailed a dear friend of mine to join Sparkpeople with me and be another Sparkbuddy, but I have to tell you - this is a great website, because even if she doesn't join, I can float around and look at my groups. For an entirely "otter" personality like mine - I love to see what other people are doing!
I have to do my 10 minute fitness streak this morning and I am so sore from yesterday!!! The fact is - I can do 10 minutes of anything. I love the spark book. It really put together that setting small doable goals is what will keep you going! I also love that it had cardio ideas that I could do at home!
Believe me, I live in a pretty fit neighbourhood, the last thing I want to do is jog this trunk around with my neighbours peeking out their windows... So ideas for at home or really anywhere are great!!!
I have a new goal: to learn to jump rope for a full minute. I can jump rope - but I am hoping as I get stronger, my bladder will agree with me!
