Just when you think things can't get any worse, they do!!! Today was DH's first radiation treatment and it went off without a hitch. Dad is still retaining fluid and starting to cough so I am worried he may be going back into congestive heart failure but that isn't why I am asking for prayers.
I called back to the kids this evening to update them on their dad's treatment and we were hit with the news our 16 mo old great granddaughter is not well. She is the little one who had a terrible time from birth on because she could not tolerate any of the formulas and the kids had a terrible time getting her to gain weight. At one point, the dr thought they were going to have to insert a feeding tube. Now that she is old enough to be eating, that problem is past and she is gaining weight, but now she is having another problem, her hands and feet are turning blue and it moved to her lips today! They got her into the pediatrician right away and they have drawn numerous vials of blood after quite a fight on her part-I think they said it took 3 nurses and her mom to hold her down and get it done. At this point they have no idea what has caused this. She was sick with a cold last week and her grandma kept her so her parents could work but it seemed to be a normal child's cold. She has been seeing the same pediatrician since birth so she is quite well versed with her history so this has all of us worried. The dr mentioned it could be Reynard's disease, an autoimmune disease and if neither of those pan out, they will start checking her heart. All in all, it is quite scary so please say a prayer for our little Natalie. She has already had a rough start in life so needs a break.
This is our little girl all ready for Christmas.
