Groundhog day or senior moment day

Ok - here's the story -
I went out this morning around 7:30 to get my Sunday paper. Didn't see it on the porch so I went off the step and looked down and saw it on the ground next to the porch. Picked it up - took it inside - noticed that it was really skimpy for a Sunday paper - took it out of it's sack and noticed it was Friday December 2.
Called my local paper letting them know that I was having a groundhog day since I had already received a Friday December 2 paper (I remember pulling the little sticker off of it as well as reading it) They said they'd have another delivered within the next hour or so and I received it about 20 minutes later.
When taking my son to work about a hour later I told him the story. He said "Do you mean that paper that's been next to the porch"? I said "Huh? How do you know about that paper"? He said "Mom - that paper's been out there forever". I said "No it hasn't - it's just been there this morning".
Much back and forth on that so I won't go into detail but his final to me was "Mom - that paper - in the orange bag - has been on the ground next to the porch FOREVER. You are NOT having a groundhog day - you're having a senior moment day"!!!!!!
Now you tell me - I go in and out of the house 2-4 times a day - how in the world could I miss an orange plastic bag RIGHT NEXT TO THE PORCH?????
Groundhog day? Senior moment day? Too much eggnog?????? (seriously tho - I don't drink)
Anywho - I called the paper back to let them know so my carrier wouldn't get into trouble (can't imagine how hard they were laughing after they got off the phone with me)
