I have been taking pictures w/my phone of what I eat. It is very interesting and much easier than writing everything down! I have been pretty good about remembering except at a recent Christmas party, where there were so many people at the table, and I was embarrassed. I have managed to do it while going out to eat w/o anyone even noticing. I scroll through almost every day, and what I really like about it is that I can see patterns very easily. It has kept me from nibbling and unplanned snacks. I am doing well at breakfast and lunch...either subs w/lots of veggies or soups. Where I am not doing so well is at dinner. I always go back for seconds! I either need to pick foods that are more filling or more nutritionally dense or something. I also need to get more color in at more meals; for me, this means more different kinds of fruit. Anyways, I would encourage you do try this. I am still allowing myself some treats, like a couple of Christmas cookies at night or pretzel MandM's (which are only 150 calories for the whole bag) but this has really helped me not go crazy.

    That's a great idea! Although not sure I will have the time to do. Maybe for a week though. I have been SO bad with the cookies and sweets this past week. But, I'm trying not to stress and just cut myself some slack. In a couple weeks all the sweets will be gone and I can go back to healthier snacks. :) Good luck to you at Xmas!
